Bishop Larry T. Williams is a native of Houston Texas, where he excelled in sports in Cypress Fairbanks ISD and Houston ISD. While he and others were looking for him to play professionally, God called him to preach as a teenager, and he has been a dedicated servant of God, preaching the Gospel for 35 years.
He is a graduate of Prairie View A&M University, where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology and a Minor in Health. He attended Seminary/ Graduate School at Morehouse School of Religion in Atlanta Georgia and his concentration was homiletics.

 

After Morehouse, Bishop Larry Williams returned home to Houston where he began teaching in the public school system. Later Bishop Williams began working in an administrative capacity as a project manager and coordinator, where he oversaw social outreach programs. While an educator, he was guided by the Holy Spirit to organize the New Covenant Church, where he has served as founder and Senior Pastor for 28 years. Bishop Williams is a pastor who loves God and people from all walks of life.

Bishop Williams' preaching style includes careful explanation of scripture, combined with wisdom and experience that enrich the sermon, and relates to various congregations. He has a tremendous passion for God’s word, coupled with a love for God’s people. He has a contagious spirit of generosity that flows through every facet of the church. His vision is uncompromisingly clear, with one central principle: to build and develop a kingdom of empowered people of God, holding firmly to the commissioned mandate in Matthew 28:18-20. He works in a unified way with the members to produce wholeness
in a broken world.
